Why There Is A Need For This:
Online courses often are only superficially tailored to the academic needs of individual students. In contrast, EEF’s follow-up sessions are inherently tailored to each student’s academic needs because each session is based on strategically guiding the student through his or her solving of practice problems assigned in school. Thus, during a follow-up session,
concepts are reviewed as necessary to solve the practice problems
the student’s relevant strengths and weaknesses are manifested in the attempt to solve the practice problems
the tutor addresses these manifested weaknesses
The follow-up session can be either online or in-person. (However, during COVID-19 crisis, only online follow-ups are available.) Though both are free to the student, an online format facilitates integrating guided study sessions into follow-ups, thereby enhancing the student’s learning.
